San Jose, Costa Rica.

In its first edition, the Pan-American Conference on Marine Energies attracted many institutions and companies related to this field of technological innovation. There was an attendance of organizations from Costa Rica, Mexico, Colombia, Chile, the United States, Canada, the Netherlands, and the United Kingdom.

Bruce Cameron, president of PAMEC, extended an invitation to NOMAD, to include the project in the Micro-Networks Technologies and Solutions session, and to participate in workshops and talks related to the use of all types of energy-related to movement and gradients present in the ocean.

As an adaptation to the many applications NOMAD exhorts, the project was presented as an in-situ application of such solutions, breaking the paradigm of one-dimensional marine spatial planning.
