San Jose, Costa Rica.
NOMAD participated in the Technological Innovation Program (PITs), created for the development of innovative solutions through the creation of technology-based projects and companies in sectors such as health, smart society, the environment, energy, and agri-food.
The NOMAD Team formed thanks to this program and collaborated in the development of a first draft business model per the concept of the detected problems and the designed solution.
At the end of the workshops, meetings, and mentoring, it was possible to determine the three types of users, their needs, ailments, and aspirations. It also facilitated the establishment of a Minimum Viable Product, and other aspects corresponding to the best techniques for setting up enterprises under the incubator modality.
After several months of work, NOMAD received recognition from the Agency for Management and Entrepreneurship of the University of Costa Rica (AUGE-UCR), who awarded the prize of $ 10,000.
The funds were used almost entirely for the development of an environmental feasibility study commissioned by the UCR’s Center for Marine Sciences and Limnology Research.
